 EGYPTAIR participates in the189th Executive Committee meeting of AFRAA and 11th Aviation Stakeholder's Convention
  
 
  
 
																		EGYPTAIR's Chairman & CEO, Eng. Yehia Zakaria, participated in the 189th Executive Committee meeting of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA) held in Addis Ababa on May 7-9, 2023, alongside the AFRAA organized the 11th Aviation Stakeholders Convention .

The meeting tackled several issues, including the latest developments in the air transport industry, where the performance of airlines was reviewed; the international air traffic of African airlines reached about 94.8% of its levels in 2019, and the traffic in Africa region reached about 31% and 37% for domestic flights in the same year.

Zakaria stated that  “The meeting covered also many topics such as the performance of airlines, safety and aviation security, and the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM).

Meanwhile, Zakaria held several bilateral meetings to enhance means of cooperation with african airlines and discuss the mutual challenges of the industry and how to overcome them. Forming a work group in cooperation with Air Tanzania and Air Senegal has been discussed aimed at studying the challenges ahead of the MRO industry in Africa and enhancing means of cooperation in this field.

On the sidelines of the convention, EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING participated through a booth seeking bilateral meetings with current and potential customer airlines and spare parts providers to discuss expanding cooperation and renewing contracts in force.

It is noteworthy that EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING is working on providing its services to african airlines, the latest of which was receiving Rwandair's aircraft and 3 Aircrafts for Tunis Air to provide technical services to the African National Carriers .
