Pilot Rushdi Zakaria, Chairman of EGYPTAIR Holding Company has appointed Engineer Abu-Taleb Tawfik as Chairman & CEO of EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING, to succeed Eng. Ibrahim Fathy.
Tawfik was selected to be Chairman & CEO of EGYPTAIR SUPPLEMENTARY INDUSTRIES Company in 2011 and then assumed the post of EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING Chairman & CEO from 2012 until 2015 and once again from 2016 to 2018.
During his term in office the company witnessed many achievements at the local and international levels, an increase in the number of clients, in addition to a significant expansion of the company's infrastructure and development projects.

Tawfik joined EGYPTAIR in 1989 as an aircraft maintenance engineer until 1993.

From 1993 to 1996 he was the Head of Reliability Department where he supervised reliability studies on information systems and their components. He then occupied the position of the Head of Aircraft Systems Department and supervised dealing with all types of aircraft modifications and inspections to issue engineering orders until he was appointed as the Manager of Department of Approval and Technical Services in 2007.

Abu-Taleb gained extensive practical experience through his work in dealing with various types of aircraft, participating in the preparation of maintenance policies and procedures, taking part in preparing administrative manuals and preparing a manual for the foundations of control, in addition to representing EGYPTAIR in many international conferences and forums.

Abu-Taleb has received many training and qualification courses in leadership and management skills and in dealing with the human factor, in addition to obtaining many engineering licenses.
