 38 African Ambassadors & Representatives Visit EGYPTAIR M&E

Hosted by EGYPTAIR Holding Company, 38 African ambassadors and representatives in Egypt have paid a visit to EGYPTAIR. They were received by Ambassador Mohamed Idris, Assistant Foreign Minister For African Affairs and Mr. Sherif Fathi, the Chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIR Holding Co. in its headquarters in Cairo International Airport to make a tour in the company in order to review its potentials, expertise in airline industry and services that African countries can benefit from. This visit is part of the national carrier's plan to boost means of cooperation and the possibility of offering its services to African airlines.

Eng. Abou Taleb Tawfik, EGYPTAIR M&E Chairman & CEO received the African guests at EGYPTAIR M&E premises. The ambassadors took a tour in the Engine Overhaul Complex and reviewed its capabilities as well as the state-of-the-art Engine Test Bed used for purpose of running the engine after maintenance and before installation on the aircraft to ensure safety and efficiency. The tour included Hangar 8000, one of the biggest hangars in Africa and the Middle East as it accommodates up to 5 aircraft. In the end of their tour, the African guests paid a visit to the Technical Warehouse where EGYPTAIR M&E stores millions of spare parts and tools for EGYPTAIR AIRLINES as well as third party customers.

“We look forward to more cooperation with the African airlines, we have already set our plans to expand in the African continent” said Abou Taleb. “EGYPTAIR M&E has its own stations in some African airports for Line Maintenance and still we are working on attracting several customers for Base Maintenance from Africa” he added.
