EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING was present at MRO Europe Conference & Exhibition held in Madrid 7-9 October 2014. The delegate was headed by Eng. Hisham Nasser, EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING Chairman & CEO who was invited as a speaker in the conference and the roundtable. Nasser’s presentation discussed the growth in the utilization of leased aircraft, engines and components and the impact of leasing on MRO, how to reduce any unnecessary expenses during the redelivery process and the relationship between lessee, lessor and the MRO through communication.

Nasser shed the light on EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING as a leading MRO in the Middle East and its role in the leasing process. He referred to EGYPTAIR Holding and EGYPTAIR Airlines and how EGME managed to handle their aircraft either as lessee or lessor. Nasser paid attention to the basic elements during the redelivery process, i.e. Age, Condition and Interiors and how they present measures that have to be considered by the MRO.

On the other hand, EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING participated in the exhibition through its booth aiming at marketing its technical capabilities. Eng. Tarek Ghoneim, Marketing and Maintenance Contracts Director said that EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING team managed to reach a many potential customers and had fruitful discussions with most of them. “We also received several offers form OEMs and material suppliers and they are currently under consideration.” he added. Such international events represent an open market for MROs, Airlines and OEMs to cover their needs interchangeably.
